Eskom is partnering with communities and schools to help reduce the harmful effects of polluted air caused by coal stoves. Through the Masibambisane Project, selected households will have the opportunity to replace coal stoves with cleaner, safer electric heaters and stoves—using the healthiest energy source of all: electricity.
Mpelampela Productions is helping Eskom spread the word through impactful industrial theatre, delivering a powerful and emotional message:

My Friendly Bully

Mpelampela has been involved in the multi-media Imali Yam campaign by OUTsurance, which seeks to help communities with financial literacy issues.
Using this creative and nonjudgmental Industrial Theatre method, makes the audience more receptive to the message.

Mohlakeng the Musical
National Arts Council (NAC)
Mpelampela Productions blended heritage and local art to educate and inspire through Mohlakeng the Musical—a powerful live performance celebrating the rich history of Mohlakeng.
Community-Created Content: The cast, made up of local artists, developed the music, script, and performance through collaborative research and storytelling with elders in the community.
Cultural Impact: Sponsored by the National Arts Council (NAC), the project honored local heritage while empowering artists from Mohlakeng and surrounding area

As part of the L+EARN Financial Literacy Programme for TVET Students, Mpelampela Productions played a key role in delivering The Saver Waya Waya—an industrial theatre-led activation focused on raising awareness around financial education.

Creative Awareness: Using engaging storytelling and live performance, the project highlights the consequences of underage drinking in a relatable and impactful way.

Takalani Sesame Tour

This project, developed for Takalani Sesame, was designed to support children’s development through playful learning. On this initiative, Mpelampela Productions was tasked with promoting the importance of Responsive Care by Male Caregivers—our fathers, brothers, uncles, and grandfathers—in a fun and entertaining way.
